Greetings my friends.
The last time I wrote I set you a couple of assignments to discover what exactly it is that is blocking your confidence.
If you accepted the challenge then you will be well on the way to knowing where your blocks lie.
Even if you have no idea where they originated you will at least have developed a picture of what holds you back now.
For the next few messages we will be creating analysis before finding solutions.
So What Is Blocking You?
I can tell you now that what you think it is will probably be a long way from what it actually is.
We have all been guilty of creating reasons why we can’t do things. The fact is that most of them are just excuses to hide from our own fears and insecurities.
My comments may feel challenging to you at this moment because you truly believe the story which you have created yourself in order to stay safe and protected from the world.
What Is The Story You Have Been Telling Yourself?
For many years I stayed in a marriage which was unhappy and used the excuse that I was holding it together for the children because they needed to have both parents together.
This is a story which has been pushed onto us by others because it suits their agenda to be able to make those who do not fit that societal template into targets.
So I stuck it out although the house was full of arguments so was the image of family relationships which the children were seeing as normal.
When I finally felt the fear and took action anyway, things changed, it put me and the family in a more positive space and I became a much nicer person to live with.
Whatever the source of your fear you have to face it feel it and overcome it.
Fear Is The Prison Guard Which Holds Us Captive.
We all feel afraid sometimes and that fear can literally paralyse us.
We need to realise though that it is only in our minds that we create these situations. Therefore it is in and with our minds that we can dismantle them too.
So this time ask yourself.
What is the worst that could happen if I stepped away from my fear?
We will examine this next time.
